Conceptually Black is a contemporary erotic and fetish photographic artist. I do not call myself a photographer, because what I do with a camera and light is what a painter does with brushes and paints. My work is meant to invoke an emotion, whether it be lust, anger, outrage or awe. I try to convey a story within my images, a glimpse into a personal moment.
I am best known for my erotic and fetish portraits, but I also have a long history with gothic photos and writing. I am a published poet, who’s work has been described as “a voice of the new gothic generation”. This helps explain my love of shadows and deep, moody imagery.
